Between the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti, a million and a half wildebeest walk a route older than human history. Lion prides rise and fall in the golden grass; elephants pass quietly through the shadows of the acacias.
We settle you in the very middle of the migration’s path — not to watch it, but to live inside it.
The Migration
By the Mara River in July, the herds gather on the bank for three days for a crossing of three minutes. You sit in the shade fifty metres away, an iced tea at hand — witnessing the greatest mobilisation on this planet.
Dawn, Aloft
You lift off forty minutes before sunrise, the plains brightening beneath you. Nothing to hear but the occasional breath of the flame. On landing, a champagne breakfast is already laid in the grass.
Camp as Home
Under canvas: brass beds, wool blankets, hot-water bottles. Lying awake you may hear lions far off — safe, yet only one layer of canvas from the wild.
